Be the Change Southwest Louisiana Needs
Strong communities don’t happen by accident. They are built by people who speak up, show up, and stand together.
At Micah 6:8 Mission, we work every day to protect the health, safety, and future of Southwest Louisiana. Through environmental justice, disaster preparedness, food access programs, and community education we can build lasting change. But, this only happens when community members get involved. Learn below how to make effective comment letters to use your voice for Southwest Louisiana. We need you!

📣 Extended Comment Period — Lake Charles CO₂ Pipeline
Calcasieu Parish residents now have until March 17th to submit public comments on the proposed Lake Charles Lateral CO₂ Pipeline (PL Order No. 7203). This is an important opportunity to ensure local voices are part of the official record before decisions are made that could affect our communities, waterways, and public health.
Comments can focus on key concerns such as requesting a formal hearing in Calcasieu Parish, highlighting how the LCMII proposal seems to bypass standard permitting processes, noting local opposition from the City of Sulphur and City Council, and urging updated review instead of relying on an outdated permit.
How to Submit Your Comment:
- Subject Line: Lake Charles Lateral CO₂ Pipeline – (PL Order No. 7203)
- Send to: info@la.gov
- Include your full name and address to ensure your comment is officially recorded.
